Questions and answers
What do Single, Album and Artist mean?
An award is given for one of three things: a single track, an album or an artist. Each has its own numbers: album numbers are roughly five times the single numbers, and artist numbers are ten times.
How are streams counted?
All platforms combined: the number is all-time streams across every platform together.
How is Silver set?
Silver is exactly half of Gold, in all three columns.
What is Multi-platinum?
It starts at 4,000,000 streams for a single, 20,000,000 for an album and 40,000,000 for an artist. For a single, there is one more step for every further 2,000,000 after Platinum.
Are these official certifications?
No. The levels and the numbers are CDRA’s own. They are not the certification levels of any record-industry body.
